Shift Electrician - Industrial Manufacturing Site
We're looking for a Shift Electrician to join a fast-paced industrial site, providing essential maintenance, repair, and support across a range of electrical systems. This is a hands-on role working on shift, helping to ensure equipment runs safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime
Key responsibilities:
Carry out inspections and maintenance of electrical equipment, including work in hazardous areas (DSEAR, ATEX)
Ensure all work complies with current Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards
Work in line with the latest electrical regulations (18th Edition, BS7671)
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues quickly and effectively
Diagnose faults and complete repairs to minimise plant downtime
Read and produce wiring diagrams as required
Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment status
Support minor electrical projects to improve and maintain site systems
Provide electrical assistance to Operations and Maintenance teams as needed
Accept and work under permit-to-work systems in accordance with site safety procedures
Maintain high standards of housekeeping in work areas and workshops.
What we're looking for:
Essential:
City & Guilds Level 1 & 2 (or above) in Electrical Engineering
Experience in an industrial maintenance environment
Strong understanding of electrical systems and associated hazards
18th Edition BS7671
Desirable:
C&G 2391 or 2394/2395 certification in testing and inspection
CompEx EX01-04 (EX05-06 also desirable)
Experience working in industrial or chemical manufacturing environments.
