Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role located in Bradford for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer. The role involves performing equipment maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repairs, ensuring the smooth operation of electrical and mechanical systems. The engineer will also be responsible for troubleshooting issues, maintaining maintenance records, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the facility.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities• Build strong collaborative working relationships with colleagues, in particular Production Managers, Operators & fellow Engineering Team Members, sharing knowledge, skills and experience.• Demonstrate the correct attitude towards work and communicate effectively• Adheres to a proactive safety culture ie Hazard Spots raised & actioned• Completes Planned Preventative Maintenance activities on time in full• Completes actions resulting from internal and external H&S Audits to ensure all external accreditations are maintained.• Maintains and raises hygiene standards to GMP requirements.• Identifies and repairs faults using current fault finding & root cause problem solving techniques.• Always completes Engineering records. All relevant information and detail produced is as accurate. Ensures all relevant information is handed over to the relevant parties, documented and is as accurate and complete.• Completes actions resulting from internal and external quality audits to ensure all external accreditations are maintained. Resolves issues raised.• Attendance at intervention as requested• All equipment and component failures documented• Actively takes ownership for delivery of actions arising from daily production meetings.• Works collaboratively to support others• Through close liaison with all relevant teams, ensure all production lines are ready and available for use and when running, running at desired speeds efficiently• Carry out repairs and maintenance to building services and the building itself• Completes any other reasonable task as requested
Qualifications/SkillsRequired• A certified time served engineering apprenticeship• BS7671:2018 preferable• Skills in Equipment Maintenance, Maintenance Engineering, and Maintenance & Repair• Experience in Preventive Maintenance and Electrical Maintenance• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills• Knowledge of health and safety regulations• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• Relevant certifications or qualifications in Maintenance Engineering or a related fieldDesired• Experience in a manufacturing environment• Able to demonstrate an in-depth experience of PLC Software is essential i.e. diagnostic• Experience in robotic packaging machinery
