Head of Manufacturing & Operations


Position Overview:


The Head of Operations is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all manufacturing and operational activities within the organisation. This individual will drive business excellence and implement strong processes to support the organisations growth plans.


Responsibilities:



  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including Sales and Finance) to streamline operational processes and drive continuous improvement.

  • Lead improvements in technologies, people, and processes to enhance overall efficiency.

  • Ensure the warehousing and logistics function fully supports business and customer needs.

  • Enhance production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure timely product delivery.

  • Partner with senior leadership to forecast and meet production demands effectively.

  • Work with the Production Manager to implement comprehensive training programs, enhancing the production team’s skills and ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards.

  • Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.

  • Manage manufacturing and operations budgets to maintain cost efficiency and profitability.

  • Oversee equipment procurement, maintenance, and capacity planning to support operational demands.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, forecast trends, and implement effective solutions.

  • Proven track record of enhancing profitability and improving operational performance.

  • Demonstrates integrity and transparency with a strong commitment to good governance.

  • Highly energetic and motivated with a curious mindset and a drive for excellence.

  • Passionate and enthusiastic about business and achieving goals.

  • At least 5 years' experience in manufacturing or operations within a large-scale business, including 1–2 years in a management role.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field (or an equivalent qualification).

  • Experience with lean manufacturing, six sigma, or other operational improvement methodologies.
