About the Higher Level Teaching Assistant role:
As an Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you'll have the chance to work in a variety of primary schools across Pudsey. These schools are based centrally to the Pudsey area and you will be working with a variety of students on a whole class and 1-1 basis.
Key Responsibilities as an Higher Level Teaching Assistant:
Provide 1:1 and group support for children, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their goals
Assist in implementing tailored learning and behaviour plans for pupils with a range of needs
Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to create a supportive and inclusive environment
Support pupils' emotional and social development, encouraging independence and confidence
Adapt to new settings quickly, bringing energy and a proactive approach to each school you work in.
What We're Looking For in a Higher Level Teaching Assistant:
Experience in SEN: Previous experience supporting children with SEN
Flexibility and Adaptability: A positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a variety of school environments
Strong Communication Skills: Confidence in working closely with staff, pupils, and parents to ensure cohesive support
