Location: Bradford / Hybrid Working (1-2 office days per week)

 

Work type: Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday.

 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Analyst to join the Programme Management office at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

The Programme Management Office are a key part of how we plan to meet the changing expectations of customers and regulators.  

 

You will require a good understanding of working in a PMO environment and be able to drive required governance, controls and assurance to support the delivery of projects to time, cost and quality targets and support the success of the Programme.

 

Working within our Programme Management Office (PMO) you will contribute to the successful and timely delivery of projects through the provision of informative and targeted management information and analysis. 

 

Where you fit in:

 

As our Lead Programme Analyst your areas of responsibility will be support:

 

  • Totex Programme Reporting and Monitoring:   Lead the reporting efforts within the PMO, Asset Planning, and Delivery functions to monitor time, cost, and quality across the Totex programme by delivering precise programme reporting that highlights key performance metrics.
  • Investment Support & Risk Management:   Support investment decisions by thoroughly reviewing risks, ensuring that the regulatory capital programme is delivered in line with Ofwat requirements.
  • Gateway Approvals Management:   Challenge and support gateway approvals through SAP to enable projects to progress smoothly into the delivery phase.
  • Data Reconciliation & Visibility:   Reconcile key data from across the organisation to provide comprehensive visibility into the company’s regulatory position, engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic Participation:   Attend Programme Delivery Groups (PDGs) and deliver crucial capital programme data to support informed investment decision making across the company.
  • Reporting Tools & Trend Analysis:   Lead the use of advanced reporting tools to analyse and present data on the capital programme, identifying trends in cost, time, and delivery performance across the company.
  • Ad Hoc Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement:   Provision of ad hoc reports on specific elements of the programme, engaging with key stakeholders to enhance visibility and create awareness around the capital programme.
  • Capital Outperformance Tracking:   Monitor and track capital outperformance across the programme, ensuring insights are used to drive continuous improvement and optimise project outcomes.

 

What skills & qualifications you will need:

 

  • Proven experience of using analytical software such as Power BI to a high level and have advanced Excel skills.
  • Highly numerate and be a data orientated person, with an eye for detail who understand the importance of accurate data.
  • Good communicator with the ability to explain complex issues in a straight forward manner to colleagues at all levels in the organisation.
  • You will possess effective organisational and time management skills
  • You will be comfortable working in a team environment and confident of building effective working relationships
  • Ability to independently, resourcefully, and creatively research and implement new approaches. Must have the aptitude and desire to learn new competencies and skills.
  • Experience of compiling, assessing, interpretating and communicating data.

 

You will also benefit from having:

 

  • Experience of working in the Water Industry or for a regulated company
  • Project Management qualification 
  • Experience of SAP
