Management Accountant - Housing Operations
Salary: £35,000 to £42,600
Office based with hybrid working
Permanent, full time - 37.5 hours per week
As a Management Accountant for Housing Operations, you will play a key role in ensuring strong governance and consistent financial management across Anchor. You will oversee and monitor our financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, timelines, and interpretation that supports sound business decision-making.
Responsibilities will include:
- Producing accurate monthly management accounts, annual statutory accounts, and general financial information, providing interpretation and commentary for stakeholders.
- Taking ownership of the annual budget setting and monthly forecasting process, including production of reports, communication of outputs to stakeholders, and resolution of queries.
- Business partnering with Operational Directors, explaining financial concepts to non financial stakeholders. Ensuring accurate and timely information is provided to aid decision making.
- Identifying, interpreting, and communicating key financial information to drive financial performance across the organisation.
- Ensuring all relevant processes and systems are compliant, continuously reviewed for improvement, and fit for purpose.
- Line management responsibilities
About You
To be successful in this role we’d like you to have/be;
- Qualified Accountant or equivalent / working towards qualification (essential)
- Experience in producing and interpreting period-end management accounts and annual statutory accounts.
- Proficiency in MI and KPI reports, as well as variance analysis.
- Experience of business partnering
- Experience of working with a variety of accounting and reporting systems.
- Strong budgeting and forecasting skills.
- Housing sector knowledge (Desirable)
