As a Transport Manager, you will lead and optimise transport operations to ensure the efficient movement inbound and outbound of a multi-site operation. Based near Bradford, this fixed-term role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact on the organisation's transport department.

Description

As the Transport Manager, you will,


  • Oversee the day-to-day transport operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
  • Manage and coordinate a team of drivers and transport staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and safety standards.
  • Develop and implement transport strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant transport laws and regulations.
  • Monitor and maintain vehicle maintenance schedules to ensure fleet reliability.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline logistics processes.
  • Analyse transport data to identify trends and make data-driven decisions.
  • Provide regular reports to senior management on transport performance and efficiency.

Profile

A successful Transport Manager should have:

  • Proven experience in running a busy transport fleet, ideally supporting inbound and outbound (to retail stores) movements
  • A strong understanding of transport regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in analysing data and using it to inform decisions.
  • Experience in managing and motivating teams to achieve operational goals.
  • Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and fleet management best practices.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders effectively.
  • Be available to start at short notice, ideally immediately

Job Offer

  • A competitive salary ranging from £55,000 to £60,000
