Marketing Assistant

Pharmaceutical Technology | Marketing | Communications | Early-Career Opportunity

Company Synopsis

Our client is a growing pharmaceutical technology business focused on improving the performance of medicines and supporting the development of innovative healthcare products.

The company works across specialist areas of pharmaceutical science, helping pharmaceutical and biotech partners progress products through development while also advancing its own internal pipeline. With a strong scientific foundation, collaborative culture and a clear focus on improving human health, the business offers an exciting environment for someone looking to build a career within marketing and communications in the life sciences sector.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a warm, positive and ambitious team where strong science, innovation and commercial growth come together.

The Opportunity

We are looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Marketing Assistant to support the company’s marketing, communications and wider business activity.

This role would suit a recent graduate, postgraduate or early-career professional with a background in business, marketing, communications or a related discipline. It is particularly well suited to someone who is creative, organised, confident working with others and eager to develop within a growing pharmaceutical technology business.

The successful candidate will support the planning and delivery of marketing activity, assist with content creation, contribute to digital marketing campaigns and help the business communicate its value clearly to clients, partners and wider industry stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and delivery of marketing campaigns
  • Assist with digital marketing activity across relevant channels
  • Create and support written content for business communications
  • Help manage and update social media activity
  • Support preparation of marketing materials, presentations and promotional content
  • Assist with event, conference and business development marketing activity
  • Conduct basic market and competitor research where required
  • Support internal communications and wider commercial projects
  • Work closely with colleagues across marketing, business development and technical teams
  • Help ensure all marketing activity is professional, accurate and aligned with the company’s brand

About You

The successful candidate will be proactive, creative and eager to learn. You will have strong communication skills, good attention to detail and a genuine interest in building a career in marketing within a science-led business.

You will ideally bring:

  • A degree or background in marketing, business, communications or a related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • An understanding of marketing campaign planning
  • Awareness of digital marketing principles
  • Experience or confidence using social media platforms for communication and engagement
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong organisation and time-management skills
  • A positive, team-focused approach
  • Confidence, professionalism and willingness to learn
  • Previous customer service or wider workplace experience would be beneficial

Why Apply?

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone at the early stage of their marketing career to join a growing pharmaceutical technology company and gain hands-on experience in a varied marketing role.

You will have the chance to develop your skills across digital marketing, communications, content creation, campaign support, events and wider commercial activity. The role offers strong exposure to a specialist life sciences environment and the opportunity to contribute to a business with a meaningful mission in healthcare innovation.

For someone who is ambitious, creative and keen to grow, this role offers excellent long-term development potential.
