MIG Welder - #2104501

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and motivated MIG Welder to join a busy manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and takes pride in producing high-quality work while meeting production targets.

The successful candidate will be responsible for welding and fabricating metal components to engineering drawings and specifications, ensuring all products meet the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on mild steel and other materials as required.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and work instructions.
• Assemble and weld fabricated components to a high standard.
• Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality requirements.
• Operate welding equipment safely and efficiently.
• Carry out basic maintenance and daily checks on welding equipment.
• Work to production schedules and achieve daily output targets.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
• Follow all company health and safety procedures and quality standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to ensure production deadlines are met.

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience as a MIG Welder within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing quality workmanship.
• Experience using hand tools and measuring equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good problem-solving skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
• Flexible approach to work and willingness to support production demands.
• Overhead crane or forklift licence (advantageous but not essential).
