We are currently recruiting an Executive Assistant to support our Executive Director on a permanent basis. We are a social housing landlord and one of the largest housing providers in the region with over 22,000 social and affordable homes, mainly in the Bradford district. We employ a talented workforce of nearly 1,000 people.

Duties include:

  • Manage the Executive Director's diary and inbox so priorities, deadlines and decisions are clear.
  • Plan ahead so the Executive Director has the right papers, briefings and actions in good time.
  • Coordinate meetings and activity end-to-end, including logistics and follow-up.
  • Draft and refine emails, reports, briefings and presentations, including grammar, tone, structure and accuracy.
  • Prepare executive summaries and materials for senior audiences.
  • Coordinate board and committee papers, actions and deadlines.
  • Ensure governance processes run smoothly and on time.
  • Prepare and quality-check Board and executive-level papers in line with agreed procedures, so they are clear, accurate and ready for review.
  • Work closely with Governance and internal teams to support a seamless flow of papers, actions and decisions.
  • Provide coordination across the directorate.
  • Carry out horizon scanning to support executive insight.
  • Use Microsoft 365 tools, including Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Copilot and SharePoint.

Requirements

  • Excellent written English skills, with the ability to write clear, concise and accurate reports, briefings, summaries and correspondence for senior leaders.
  • Previous experience providing executive support at a senior level, ideally at Executive Director level.
  • Experience supporting governance processes, including Board or Committee activity.
  • Experience managing complex diaries, inboxes and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong project coordination skills, with the ability to plan tasks, track progress and manage competing deadlines.
  • Strong organisational, administration and planning skills, with the ability to manage a busy workload and respond to changing priorities.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills, with confidence working with colleagues across the business.
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, discretion and diplomacy.
  • 2-3 days in the office (BD17 7BN)
  • Right to Work in the UK - Visa Sponsorship is not available.
