Air Export Clerk - #2122934

Air Export Clerk required to join this busy agent closely based near Leeds Airport

You will be responsible for dealing with Export shipments from initial booking through to final departure, ensuring all shipments are handled efficiently, accurately and in line with customer and airline requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Handling end-to-end air export shipments.

Booking cargo with airlines and negotiating space where required.

Liaising with customers, airlines, overseas agents and transport providers.

Arranging collections and coordinating deliveries to the airport.

Preparing and checking Air Waybills and export documentation.

Completing or coordinating customs entries and export clearance.

Monitoring flight schedules and shipment movements.

Providing customers with regular shipment updates.

Checking cargo weights, dimensions and documentation.

Dealing with amendments, delays and operational issues.

Raising invoices and checking supplier costs.

Updating the internal freight system accurately.

Ensuring all shipments comply with airline, customs and company procedures.

Building strong working relationships with customers and overseas partners

Experience Required

Previous experience in air freight / air exports / freight forwarding

Good understanding of the air export process.

Knowledge of UK export customs procedures.

Experience with Air Waybills and export documentation.

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Good communication and customer service skills.

Good IT and systems knowledge.

Monday to Friday 9-5.30

Salary up to c£35k
