The Opportunity
Working within a close-knit team of six, you will manage a dedicated section of the sales ledger, ensuring accounts are maintained accurately and payments are collected efficiently.
This role would suit someone who enjoys responsibility, takes pride in delivering high standards, and values being part of a professional team where experience counts.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a portfolio of customer accounts.
- Receiving, balancing and posting bank payments.
- Allocating customer payments accurately.
- Reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies.
- Handling customer queries, proof of delivery requests and account correspondence.
- Chasing outstanding debts by telephone, email and letter.
- Building positive relationships with customers to ensure prompt payment.
- Working closely with the sales team and other departments to resolve issues and support collections activity.
- Maintaining accurate customer account records.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in Credit Control, Accounts Receivable or Sales Ledger.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- A calm and professional approach when handling customer accounts.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
- Confidence using finance systems and Microsoft Office applications.
