Resident Forklift Engineer - #2138432

As a Resident Forklift Engineer, you will be responsible for keeping a fleet of forklift trucks and materials handling equipment operational, carrying out planned maintenance, servicing and breakdown repairs.

Key responsibilities - 

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on forklift trucks and lifting equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance and routine inspections.
• Respond to breakdowns and minimise equipment downtime.
• Carry out safety checks, including brakes, steering, hydraulics, hoses and electrical systems.
• Identify parts requirements and raise accurate parts requests.
• Maintain service records and complete relevant paperwork.
• Liaise with the customer and site team to ensure excellent service levels.
• Work safely and maintain high standards of workmanship.

Personal Requirements - 

• Previous experience as a Forklift Engineer, Plant Engineer, Agricultural Engineer, HGV Engineer or similar.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience working on forklift trucks or other materials handling/industrial equipment.
• A proactive and reliable approach.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

This is a 4 on 4 off shift pattern. 

Salary - £35,000-£40,000 +15% shift allowance.
