Appeals & Disputes Specialist - Bradford

Are you experienced in Appeals & Disputes and confident presenting cases at Tribunal? We have an exciting opportunity for an Appeals & Disputes Specialist to join a busy Revenues & Benefits team based in Bradford.

The role

You’ll be responsible for dealing with appeals and revisions, making decisions in line with legislation and Council policies, and preparing and presenting cases to Tribunals and other bodies.

You’ll also:

• Deal with complex Appeals & Disputes cases
• Communicate with customers, representatives and other organisations
• Prepare reports, submissions and supporting documents
• Present cases at Court or Tribunal when required
• Keep up to date with relevant legislation and guidance
• Help improve processes and procedures
• Provide advice and support to colleagues

About you

We’re looking for someone with:

• At least 3 years' experience in Appeals & Disputes, particularly where presenting cases at Tribunal has been a key part of the role
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good attention to detail, accuracy and numeracy
• Confidence presenting cases and giving advice
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Hours of Work

Monday to Friday 0900 - 1700

Hourly Payrate

£16.02 per hour
