We are recruiting for a Graduate Technical Consultant - Sports Surfaces to join an established and highly regarded consultancy.

This is a varied role combining site work, technical assessment, data analysis and consultancy, giving you the opportunity to work across a wide range of sporting environments.

You'll work alongside experienced consultants and technical specialists, receiving structured training, mentoring and practical experience as you develop your technical knowledge and consultancy skills. The role will involve regular travel across the UK and, where required, internationally.

Key Responsibilities as Graduate Technical Consultant - Sports Surfaces:

• Attend sports facilities to carry out site visits, technical assessments and investigations
• Undertake sports surface performance testing using specialist equipment
• Assess natural and synthetic sports surfaces from a technical and agronomic perspective
• Collect, review and analyse technical and performance data
• Assist with feasibility studies and the development or improvement of sports facilities
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, recommendations and project documentation
• Provide technical support relating to the management, maintenance and performance of sports surfaces
• Assist with sports surface designs, specifications and technical documentation
• Attend construction sites to inspect and support the delivery of sports surface works
• Liaise with clients, contractors, architects, engineers and other project stakeholders
• Attend project meetings and, as your experience develops, assist with presenting technical findings
• Support the wider consultancy team across a range of sports and facility projects
• Undertake ongoing training and professional development

What we're looking for as a Graduate Technical Consultant - Sports Surfaces:

• A relevant degree, vocational qualification or practical background in a related discipline
• Suitable backgrounds could include Agriculture, Horticulture, Sportsturf, Turfgrass Science, Plant or Soil Science, Physical Geography or Sports Surface Management
• Practical experience in grounds management, greenkeeping, sports turf or a related environment will also be considered
• A genuine interest in sports surfaces, their performance, maintenance and development
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Confident working both independently and as part of a wider team
• Strong organisation and attention to detail
• Comfortable undertaking hands-on site work and travelling throughout the UK and internationally
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• A full UK driving licence
