A modern cloud-based accountancy firm is looking to recruit an experienced Accountant to join their team.

This opportunitiy offers 3 days WFH and flexible start / finish times.

This is an excellent opportunity for a practice-trained accountant who enjoys working with a varied portfolio of clients and wants to join a firm that embraces cloud technology, flexible working and a modern approach to accountancy.

The role will involve:

• Preparing year-end statutory accounts for limited companies and sole traders
• Preparing personal and corporation tax returns, with training available where required
• Producing monthly and quarterly management accounts
• Reviewing bookkeeping records and ensuring the accuracy of financial information
• Working directly with clients, providing accounting support and commercial advice
• Managing your own workload and ensuring deadlines and compliance requirements are met

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience within an accountancy practice
• Strong experience preparing year-end accounts
• Experience with management accounts and financial reporting
• Good knowledge of cloud accounting software such as Xero, Dext and Apron
• Strong communication skills and confidence dealing directly with clients
• Good organisation and attention to detail
