An established and highly regarded civil and structural engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Civil Engineer with 2-4 years' experience to join its Bradford team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer to take ownership of their own projects, work independently and develop their technical expertise while coordinating with the various disciplines involved in project delivery.

The successful Civil Engineer will be responsible for managing their project workload and ensuring programmed deadlines are achieved, while also supporting other members of the team with the delivery of work within their area of expertise. The role will involve taking ownership of civil and infrastructure projects from design through to delivery, working closely with the wider project team to ensure high-quality and coordinated solutions.

Key responsibilities will include the design of private drainage networks, developing solutions for sectional applications and undertaking drainage design using MicroDrainage, PDS or Causeway Flow. The role will also involve preparing layouts in AutoCAD, working alongside technicians, as well as preparing Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs), pre-planning advice and associated technical documentation.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to liaise directly with clients to establish project requirements, confirm scope and ensure deliverables are achieved. The role will also include carrying out site inspections, surveys and assessments, preparing technical reports, contributing to tenders and fee proposals, and helping to develop both new and existing client relationships.

To be considered, candidates should hold a relevant Civil Engineering degree and have around 2-4 years' experience within a consultancy environment, ideally with a background in civil and infrastructure design. Experience with drainage design and relevant software such as MicroDrainage, PDS/Causeway Flow and AutoCAD would be highly beneficial. The successful candidate should have strong communication skills, be comfortable working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team and be keen to develop their career towards ICE Chartered Engineer status.
