CNC Miller / Turner

Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire
Hours: Monday – Friday, days and afters rotating 6-2/2-10
Salary: £28,500 – £33,500 per annum, depending on experience

We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Miller or Turner to join our client’s precision engineering team in Bradford, West Yorkshire.

We are interested in candidates at different levels, from CNC Operators through to Setters/Operators and Programmers, with salary reflecting your level of experience and skill.

The Role

You will be responsible for setting and operating CNC machinery within a precision engineering environment. Programming experience would be advantageous, although we are also interested in experienced operators and setter/operators.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting and operating CNC milling machines.

• Producing high-quality components to engineering drawings and specifications.

• Working accurately to tight tolerances.

• Carrying out quality checks on completed components.

• Ensuring machines are set and operated safely and efficiently.

• CNC programming, where applicable to your level of experience.

• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in CNC milling – setting and operating.

• Experience working within a precision engineering environment.

• Knowledge of Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain or similar CNC controls.

• Strong ability to read and understand engineering drawings.

• Experience working accurately to tight tolerances.

• A positive, reliable and proactive approach to work.

Desirable Experience

• Previous aerospace manufacturing experience.

• Experience machining composite materials.

• CNC programming experience.

Working Hours

Rotating days and afters 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm

Salary

Salary will depend on your level of experience:

• CNC Operator: £28,500 per annum

• CNC Setter/Operator: £30,500 per annum

• CNC Programmer: £33,500 per annum
