SAP Manager - #2163425

An opportunity for an experienced SAP Manager to join a leading local local authority in the Bradford area. This role offers the chance to lead the SAP support function within a dynamic and strategic IT team, playing a key part in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, customer-focused SAP services. The successful candidate will also support a major ERP transformation project, guiding the migration and future platform implementation.

You will work closely with enterprise architecture and systems services, shaping the future of the organisation’s ERP landscape while maintaining seamless SAP operations and stakeholder engagement.

Contract length is to be confirmed, and the rate of pay is £700 p/d Umbrella.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Your duties as the SAP Manager will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

• Lead the SAP service and operational management, ensuring high-quality delivery of support, incident resolution, and customer service.
• Oversee change management processes, including system upgrades, patches, and configuration changes, ensuring minimal disruption.
• Play a pivotal role in the organisation’s ERP transformation, supporting the planning, design, and delivery of migration efforts.
• Act as the primary liaison for SAP support partners, managing escalations and maintaining strong supplier relationships.
• As the SAP Manager, you will lead the team, fostering a collaborative environment and supporting ongoing staff development.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the SAP Manager we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

• A Degree or higher level in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline).
• Proven experience delivering SAP solutions, including configuration, testing, and documentation across modules such as SAP FI/CO, SAP HR/Payroll, and SAP Fiori.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate business requirements into SAP solutions.
• Extensive knowledge of SAP security, system upgrades, and project services.
