Senior Project Manager - #2165921
Corporate Travel Management (CTM) Group
Summary of Position
To provide CTM with dedicated project management discipline and governance for high-value Government Special Projects, ensuring that contractual, commercial, operational and financial requirements are aligned and appropriately controlled from project inception through mobilisation, go-live and ongoing change.
This role requires a pragmatic, experienced Senior Project Manager who can operate with a high degree of autonomy, manage complexity across parallel workstreams, and maintain momentum in a fast-moving and highly confidential environment. The Senior Project Manager will provide dedicated end-to-end project management and governance for CTM's UK Government Special Projects, including new projects, extensions, variations, contract changes and mobilisation activity.
The Senior Project Manager will ensure that the appropriate CTM functions, clients and suppliers are engaged at the right stage; contractual, commercial and operational dependencies are identified and managed; required approvals are obtained; decisions are documented; and projects progress in accordance with agreed governance, contractual requirements, profitability objectives and mobilisation plans.
The role will not replace functional ownership or approval authority. Instead, it will provide the central project management discipline required to ensure that each function delivers its responsibilities within the overall project plan and that no project progresses without the appropriate controls and approvals.
- Proven project management experience within a complex commercial or operational environment.
- Experience managing projects involving multiple internal functions and external stakeholders.
- Strong governance, planning and organisational skills.
- Experience managing risks, issues, dependencies, actions and critical paths.
- Experience of contract implementation, change management or commercial projects.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage competing priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate project documentation.
Desirable Experience
- Government contracting or public-sector project experience.
- Experience working with Government Frameworks or complex contractual arrangements.
- Travel management, accommodation, logistics or large-scale service delivery experience.
- Experience managing large-scale mobilisation programmes.
- Commercial or financial project management experience.
- PRINCE2, APM or equivalent project management qualification.
