Veritas Education is working in partnership with a supportive secondary school in the Bradford area to recruit an enthusiastic and skilled Design & Technology Teacher for a full-time, long-term position.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established DT department and inspire students through creative, practical and engaging lessons. The successful candidate will teach across KS3 and KS4, helping students develop their technical knowledge, problem-solving skills and confidence in practical work.

Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).

• Plan and deliver engaging Design & Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Teach areas such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Engineering, Graphics or related DT disciplines
• Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with curriculum requirements
• Support students in developing practical and technical skills
• Differentiate lessons to meet a range of abilities and learning needs
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
• Ensure safe working practices are followed during practical lessons
• Contribute to departmental planning and the wider school community

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant recognised teaching qualification
• Has experience teaching Design & Technology within a secondary school
• Strong practical and technical subject knowledge
• Confident teaching across KS3 and KS4
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• Enthusiastic about encouraging creativity and practical learning
• Committed to safeguarding and supporting positive outcomes for students
• ECTs are encouraged to apply
