Purchasing Manager

Location: Bradford

Salary: £70,000–£80,000 per annum

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead procurement across both direct and indirect spend within a manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused professional to drive cost savings, strengthen supplier relationships and improve supply chain performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies across direct and indirect spend.
• Lead supplier negotiations, sourcing activities and contract management.
• Deliver cost savings, improve value for money and optimise supplier performance.
• Manage procurement of production materials, components and indirect goods and services.
• Work closely with Production, Operations, Engineering and Finance to meet business requirements.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, supplier consolidation and risk reduction.
• Monitor procurement KPIs and ensure continuity of supply.

About You

• Proven purchasing or procurement management experience within manufacturing or a related industry.
• Strong commercial, negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Experience managing both direct and indirect spend.
• A track record of delivering cost savings and continuous improvement.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• CIPS qualification desirable.
