Role Description:
We're looking for an experienced Health & Safety Auditor based in or around West Yorkshire to join our growing team in a hybrid, field-based role.
Working directly with our clients, primarily within the education sector, you'll play an important role in helping organisations identify and manage health & safety risks, maintain compliance and improve safety standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting health & safety audits, safety assessments and fire risk assessments for education and commercial clients.
- Producing clear, accurate reports with practical recommendations.
- Building positive, lasting client relationships and providing professional, constructive advice.
- Reviewing health & safety practices, identifying areas for improvement and supporting clients in understanding their responsibilities.
- Using Crysp's digital platform to record findings and support ongoing compliance management.
- Independently managing site visits across Yorkshire and the M62 corridor, with occasional national travel.
As the face of Crysp on site, you'll be confident in communicating your findings, including when difficult conversations are necessary, while maintaining a warm, approachable and professional attitude.
At Crysp, we believe that effective health & safety support is about working collaboratively with organisations, understanding their challenges and helping them make meaningful improvements.
Qualifications:
Essential requirements:
- Dual qualifications in both health & safety and fire risk assessment.
- Proven experience conducting on-site health & safety audits and assessments, including producing accurate, professional reports.
- Strong knowledge of UK health & safety legislation and relevant fire safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to engage with senior leaders and site teams.
- A warm, approachable attitude and the professional judgement to communicate findings clearly and constructively.
- The ability to work independently, manage your own diary and maintain consistently high professional standards.
- Confidence using digital tools and systems to manage documentation and reporting.
- A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel as required.
- A valid passport and right to work in the UK.
Desirable experience:
Experience working within schools, multi-academy trusts or other education settings would be particularly valuable. We also welcome candidates with relevant experience in other complex environments, including healthcare and retail.
