Job Description

Join Epta as a Project Manager and play a key role in delivering high-quality commercial refrigeration projects to client specifications. You’ll collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to ensure each project is delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards. Working in a fast-paced, supportive environment, you’ll contribute to innovative solutions that shape the future of cooling technology—while being part of a team that values your expertise and supports your professional growth.

This is a permanent, home-based role offering 37.5 hours of flexible working per week, with occasional travel to our Bradford office as required. As a Project Manager, you’ll benefit from the autonomy to manage your schedule while delivering projects to the highest standard—occasionally including evening or weekend work when needed. The role offers a basic salary of £51,000 along with an attractive benefits package.

Your Contribution

Take ownership of projects from pre-start through to delivery and post-completion, ensuring they are completed to the highest standards and in the most cost-effective way. You’ll work closely with the Contracting Manager – North, coordinating with internal teams and nominated subcontractors to drive successful outcomes.

Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee multiple projects across the UK from pre-start to client handover, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Team & Resource Coordination: Manage installation personnel, liaise with subcontractors, and handle procurement of equipment and materials to support efficient project delivery.
  • Client & Supplier Communication: Maintain clear, consistent communication with clients, suppliers, and manufacturers, resolving technical issues and ensuring projects are snag-free.
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure full compliance with legal, health and safety, technical, and installation standards; collaborate with internal teams to uphold industry best practices.
  • Administration & Financial Control: Handle all project administration, approve relevant invoices, and manage contract costs in line with agreed budgets and company procedures.

Your Journey

You bring a strategic mindset, a proactive and adaptable approach, and strong analytical skills, all underpinned by a customer-focused attitude. Your excellent communication and negotiation abilities enable you to lead projects with confidence and clarity.

Ideally, you will also have:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience managing refrigeration projects, preferably within the supermarket retail sector
  • A self-motivated attitude with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • A process-driven approach to project delivery, ensuring consistency and quality throughout.
  • Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and the use of handheld mobile devices.
