About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated French Teacher to join the school in Bradford for a full-time position, starting ASAP. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality French lessons to students in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping them develop confidence, fluency, and cultural awareness. You'll be part of a committed and supportive Modern Foreign Languages department, with opportunities to contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities.

Position Description

Location: Bradford

Contract: Full-time role

Pay rate: £150 - £251.71 (UPS Rates will be considered)

Essential Requirements

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • A thorough understanding of the national curriculum for MFL.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging French lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Prepare students for GCSE French exams with clear objectives and scaffolding
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Develop and adapt lesson plans to meet the needs of all learners
  • Provide effective written and verbal feedback to students
  • Monitor, assess and record students' progress and development
  • Collaborate with the MFL department to share best practices and resources
  • Support the development of pupils' literacy through French
  • Engage in continuous professional development opportunities
  • Uphold safeguarding responsibilities in line with school policy
