CNC Miller Programmer / Setter / Operator

Location: Bradford

Salary: £17.34 per hour + Overtime at Premium Rates

Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:00am - 4:00pm, Friday 7:00am - 12:00pm

About the Company

Our client is a well-established precision engineering manufacturer based in Bradford, specialising in the production of high-quality gears and transmission components for a range of industrial sectors. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced CNC Miller Programmer, Setter and Operator to join their skilled machining team.

The Role

As a CNC Miller, you will be responsible for programming, setting and operating a variety of CNC milling machines to produce precision-engineered components to exact specifications. You will work from engineering drawings and ensure all work meets the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines.
• Working with a range of machine controls including Haas, Okuma and Mazak.
• Producing precision components in line with engineering drawings and customer specifications.
• Conducting first-off inspections and in-process quality checks.
• Selecting appropriate tooling and adjusting machine offsets where required.
• Ensuring machines are operating efficiently and maintaining high levels of productivity.
• Troubleshooting machining issues and making running adjustments as necessary.
• Maintaining a safe and organised work environment.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience as a CNC Miller within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to programme, set and operate CNC milling machines.
• Experience working with Haas, Okuma and Mazak controls.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Competent in the use of measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers and gauges.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
