The Supply Register is recruiting a Cover Supervisor for a long-term opportunity at Dixons City Academy in Bradford, starting in January 2027.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and reliable individual with experience working with young people who is looking to develop their career in secondary education.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will provide lesson cover across a range of subjects, supervise secondary school students and help maintain a positive and productive learning environment.

• Supervise classes across a range of secondary school subjects.

• Deliver pre-set lesson plans and ensure students remain engaged with their work.

• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.

• Provide student support and encourage participation in lessons.

• Work alongside teaching staff to support effective teaching and learning.

• Experience working with young people, ideally within a school or education setting.

• Confident classroom management and behaviour management skills.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage secondary school students.

• A flexible, reliable and proactive approach.

• A genuine interest in supporting students' learning and development.

Experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, youth worker, sports coach or in another child-facing role would also be valuable.
